Entrepreneurship training and support for Veterans

Operation Entrepreneur

Skilled Veterans.  Confident Entrepreneurs.

Operation Entrepreneur (POE) is a national program that provides transitioning Canadian military personnel and Veterans with the education, tools and resources they need to build confidence, develop networks and start their own businesses.

It was established in 2012 to meet a previously unmet need of national entrepreneurial supports specifically tailored to the Canadian Armed Forces.

POE’s signature element is a seven-day intensive business boot camp, held on four university campuses across Canada. Participants learn best practices in marketing, finance and business planning from university faculty and get the opportunity to grow their business network and confidence.

The program helps ease the transition into second careers and civilian life and fills a much needed void in the employment landscape of transitioning military members.

If you’re interesting in registering for a program, details can be found on the Operation Entrepreneur web site.

“Being in a room with 19 other folks going through the same thing, going after the same goal, was an incredibly energizing experience.”

– Joe Wright, BC
Boot camp alumnus and owner of Double U Industrial
