Whether you’re trying to land a job, are new to a career or trying to move up in your firm, being able to communicate effectively will open many doors.

In this session, we will explore the different forms of communication and how to leverage them in the workplace or when applying for work.

This program is part of an ongoing workshop series with Prince’s Trust Canada and Halifax Central Library, so check out and register for our other sessions too.

All workshops are held at the Halifax Central Library branch and are open to youth 16-30 years old and are FREE to attend.

Participants will:

  • Learn practical strategies to communicate effectively in the workplace or when seeking employment.
  • Feel more confident in what are the best methods to connect with employers while seeking a job or in the workplace.
  • Learn how to convey clear, strong messages to get their points across with confidence.
  • Be able to set themselves apart while seeking employment.
  • Be able to better leverage their non-verbal communication to avoid misunderstandings and convey their message effectively.
