Seven-day boot camps help veterans start businesses

Between May and August 2019, 77 transitioning Canadian Armed Forces members and veterans received a week-long business training course through Prince’s Trust Canada’s Operation Entrepreneur program. Held on university campuses, the participants arrived to boot camp with a developed business idea and learned best practices in marketing, finance, business planning and accounting from business school faculty. They participated in mentoring forums with local entrepreneurs, received one-on-one coaching and worked on a plan to take their business to the next level. Business program at Memorial University helps Canadian veterans become entrepreneurs

Prince’s Trust Canada has started its seven-day business training program for veterans and transitioning Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, N.L. The week-long business boot camp, which began on Sunday, July 14, is part of The Trust’s Operation Entrepreneur program.
