Catherine Paquette

Catherine is a Specialist in Freshwater Ecosystems has been with WWF-Canada since 2014. During her time at WWF she has led the assessments of Watershed Reports, the first national picture of the health of and threats to freshwater in Canada. She has also led her organization’s participation in STREAM (which stands for Sequencing the Rivers for Environmental Assessment and Monitoring). STREAM’s aim was to increase monitoring capacity within watershed groups and Indigenous communities to reduce data deficiency issues.

She now works to support similar capacity building efforts for carbon monitoring across Canada and is involved in WWF-Canada’s commitments to ecosystem restoration.

She holds an MSc in Physical Geography from the University of Ottawa, where she studied the impacts of thawing permafrost on streams and rivers.

Helen co-founded ODAIA in 2018, an AI/ML-powered commercial insights SaaS platform for pharmaceutical companies.

As Chief Technical Evangelist, Helen brings her understanding of artificial intelligence, customer analytics and digital transformation to drive ODAIA’s thought leadership efforts, ultimately helping pharma commercial teams adopt AI in their work and leverage data science and AI to achieve a competitive advantage.

She is also the Program head for the Women in Trades and Technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. She is passionate about sharing her experience and developing the skills and the knowledge necessary to build successful careers for women entering the trades and technology sectors. 

Working in the welding industry for over a decade has given Allison the opportunity to experience and apply a broad range of skills learned in both the classroom and custom fabrication shop settings. Allison is committed to lifelong learning and career development and has recently completed her level 1 Welding Inspector certification.

Frincy is also the Steering Committee Member for Canada's AI and Data Governance Collaborative organized by Standards Council Canada.
Coralee Kaban, Instructor at Saskatchewan Polytechnic

Coralee Kaban is an instructor with Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Coralee started her IT career after graduating from the Computer Systems Technology Diploma program in 2003.She worked as a Systems Administrator for both Point2 Technologies Inc and Western Canada Lottery Corporation. Coralee has also worked as a Computer Programmer for Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

After realizing she really enjoyed learning, training and supporting end users Coralee transitioned to an instructor in 2007. Coralee can now be found facilitating various face to face and online classes related to computer applications, server administration, networking and software development projects.
